Electronic signatures cannot be taken lightly since we live in a digital age, and most recently in an era of national lockdown where contracts or any other agreements require electronic signatures. The Supreme Court of Appeal (SCA) delivered a judgment on the question of what qualifies as a signature under the Electronic Communications and Transactions Act, 2002.
