Clearlaw is a Johannesburg-based company that is transforming online learning for continuing legal education (CLE) in South Africa. The Legal Practice Act, 2014 requires all legal practitioners to continue their legal education.

Harnessing all the benefits of blended learning, Clearlaw provides a new platform for top quality continuing legal education, in line with international best practice. Our self-paced modules are online-based, offer exceptional value and allow users to earn CPD points.

Clearlaw is committed to improving the quality of services within the legal profession. Our team of admitted attorneys, IT specialists, lecturers, mentors, managers and regulatory experts have decades of experience. This enables us to carefully curate quality content for ongoing legal education on this platform.

Clearlaw’s founder, Kerron Edmunson, has been an attorney for 24 years and is also a solicitor. She has worked in 25 countries, including at a Top 10 law firm in London and in Johannesburg. Her experience gives her unique insight into the choice of materials and the methodology we use in our courses.

Clearlaw is an SME, and is currently a Level 4 BEE entity.

Kerron is an international legal and regulatory consultant for the telecommunications broadcasting and postal sectors, and an expert in the arena of continuing legal education (CLE). Operating from Johannesburg, South Africa, Kerron has worked across the globe with numerous law firms, legal advisors, private and public sector legal experts and consumer bodies, as well as representing government and private sector entities and individuals.

Joanna has over 15 years' experience in office management, marketing and PR within diverse industries that include NGO's, and property and clinic management. Her expertise in systems and office management has enabled Clearlaw as a start-up to organise itself in line with best practise. Joanna is also an ideas person who is able to translate her creativity into processes and tangible business outcomes. Her combination of lateral thinking and a detail-oriented mindset ensures that the businesses she is involved in continuously evolve to keep pace with the relevant market requirements. She also manages the teams of service providers partnering with Clearlaw to ensure they deliver on time and to the highest quality standards.
